Russian exploration the most deep Lake in the World

Russian scientists are now joining in the Lake Baikal ecosystem to find out at the same time the size of the depth of the lake in the world.

Exploration has been done years ago with the involvement of two antisubmarine small Russian-made, Mir-1 and Mir-2. On the first day, the second submarine is located almost 420 meters in depth. On the second day, the submarine will reach the depth of the lake further.

It is expected that the second submarine is able to achieve the depth of 1637 meters, is located right in the bottom of the lake. Basic ecosystem of Lake Baikal has a quite unique. According to Russian scientists, there has never been a touch of research Baikal ecosystem.

In previous missions, scientists can only reach the depth of the lake a few hundred meters only.

Lake Baikal expedition is led by Artur Chilingarov. Chilingarov Kremlin is a member of parliament who is also known as the north polar explorers. Chilingarov even groups of scientists have led the successful drive in the Russian flag at the North Pole.
