Vegetables have been long known as a food that contains lots of vitamins that the body is able to help avoid some diseases. Recently, a number of researchers from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) to reveal the one vegetable that is capable of preventing a variety of respiratory disturbances.

UCLA researchers revealed that broccoli is able to protect the body from various respiratory disturbances such as asthma or shortness of breath.

"This is the first study to reveal the property of broccoli as a food source that can act as antioxidants," said UCLA researcher, Dr. Marc Riedl in his article published in the journal Clinical Immunology.

Broccoli contains sulforaphane natural mind which is the family's fito chemicals isothiocyanates that are associated with sugar molecules. When someone then consume broccoli sulforaphane will separate the molecules of sugar and increase the production of enzyme GSTP1 and NQO1.

Researchers working with 65 volunteers to do research as much three weeks to get all the conclusions about the property broccoli.
